Our philanthropic CEO, Co-Founders and Board Members teamed up and recognized that the occurrences of domestic violence and abuse have escalated to “epidemic” proportions. The need to make the public aware – now – of the startling statistics and incidences of violence is crucial, because the horrific truth is generally kept as a “well-hidden secret” (due to the victims’ fear of exposure, embarrassment, or even furthering their own personal endangerment). Many people don’t even realize that violence and abuse could be occurring right in their own neighborhoods, but it is.
Thus, the charitable Stop The Abuse Foundation was formed.
The Foundation will bring these critical issues to the forefront by facilitating public awareness, so we can effect change – because every abused person deserves to feel valued & respected… and most importantly, to be safe.
Abusive behavior is never acceptable whether the abuser is a man, a woman, a teenager, or an older adult.
Victims cross every age and income bracket, so our task is great – and you can help. Through appropriate channeling of the funding the Foundation receives – and the corporate alliances we develop – together we will be able to aid victims so they no longer have to live in daily fear of being abused or victimized.
“Every day, over 22,000 calls are placed to domestic violence hotlines.”
